What the free trial includes

Everything below is from OddsMonkey's own help centre and pricing pages, checked on 22 October 2026:

One caution: that help article is dated 26 July 2023, so the exact offers inside it may be different now. And I haven't been able to verify what the trial looks like on screen today, because that is behind its sign-up. I'm not going to describe it in detail until I have.

Lewis's take

I started with OddsMonkey in 2017, after an article led me to MoneySavingExpert and MSE led me to OddsMonkey. I made about £1,000 in my first four weeks. That's why I'd tell anyone to judge the software on the first offers: do them, see the money arrive, and only then decide what it's worth to you.

What it costs after the trial

PlanMonthlyAnnualWhat it adds
Starter£39.99£249.99Matched betting tools, sign-up and reload offers, support
Advanced£49.99£349.99Casino offers, casino tools, BOG Matcher, Price Boost Matcher
Pro£149.99£9992UP EV, Extra Place EV, Lucky Finder EV
Elitenot listed£3,000Edge Finder, Golf Master, Steam Chaser

The pricing page says "No contract. Cancel anytime." For a beginner doing sports sign-up offers, Starter is the plan to look at first. The upper tiers add casino, +EV and specialist tools. See the OddsMonkey vs Outplayed page for each plan side by side.

Monthly or annual after the trial?

Starter monthly for 12 months is £479.88. Starter annual is £249.99. The annual plan saves you £229.89 (48%) and pays for itself against monthly from month 7. But paid up front is paid up front. If you're not sure you'll still be going in seven months, pay monthly first. You can change plan later.

The 14-day money-back guarantee

OddsMonkey says if you notify it within 14 days of your first purchase, the first payment is refunded. Cancellation is through the account dashboard, and support is [email protected]. Two practical points. First, the clock runs from the first payment, so don't pay on day one of a month you'll be too busy to use. Second, it's the first payment that's refunded, which on an annual plan is the whole year. Always read the live wording at checkout.

How to use the free trial properly

  1. Start the trial from OddsMonkey. Use the free trial button on the OddsMonkey site and create an account. According to its help centre you do not give payment details to start.
  2. Read the explainer first. The trial begins by explaining what matched betting is. Do read it, even if you have read my guide, because the screens you will use later assume it.
  3. Open the accounts the first offer needs. You will need a bookmaker account and a betting exchange account. Both ask for ID checks, and you must be 18+ and in the UK. Do this before you place anything.
  4. Do the two guided offers. The trial walks through two bookmaker sign-up offers (OddsMonkey says up to £39 tax-free profit). Use the calculator for the lay stakes, place the lay, then the back bet, and check both are matched.
  5. Decide before the trial runs out of road. After the offers, decide whether you would use the tools without a guide. If you do subscribe, the 14-day money-back window runs from the first payment.

For the lay maths while you do the offers, use the matched betting calculator and the free bet calculator. For the whole story from zero, read what matched betting is and how it works.

Matched betting isn't free of risk. Mistakes happen (a lay that doesn't match, an odds mismatch, a void bet), and bookmakers can limit or close accounts. Start with small stakes, check each bet is matched, and keep your exchange liability funded.

What the free trial is not

FAQs

Is the OddsMonkey free trial really free?

OddsMonkey's help centre says you don't have to provide payment details when you sign up for the free trial, so there is nothing to forget to cancel. Matched betting itself needs your own money in a bookmaker and an exchange (qualifying bets and the lay liability), but you get most of it back as part of the process.

How long is the OddsMonkey free trial?

I couldn't find a trial length on OddsMonkey's public pages, so I won't guess. Its help article (dated 26 July 2023) describes the trial as an explainer plus two sign-up offers rather than a countdown. Check the sign-up page on the day.

How much can I make in the free trial?

OddsMonkey says "up to £39" tax-free profit across the two offers in its help article, and its website says "£29+". Those are its figures for offers that existed when it wrote them. Mine are examples, not promises. Offers change and your result depends on odds, stakes and your accounts.

How much does OddsMonkey cost after the trial?

On 22 October 2026, Starter was £39.99 a month or £249.99 a year, Advanced £49.99 a month or £349.99 a year, Pro £149.99 a month or £999 a year, and Elite £3,000 a year. The pricing page says no contract and you can cancel any time.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. OddsMonkey's pricing page and help centre say that if you tell them within 14 days of your first purchase, the first payment is refunded. Do it by emailing [email protected] or through your account. Read the current wording at sign-up.

Should I pay monthly or annually after the trial?

Monthly Starter is £479.88 over 12 months, against £249.99 annually, a saving of £229.89. The annual plan is cheaper once you've stayed 7 months. If you're unsure, pay monthly, then switch to annual once you know you'll keep going.

Do I need OddsMonkey to matched bet?

No. This site's calculators plus a betting exchange will do the lay maths for free. What OddsMonkey sells is the finding of offers and matched odds, and the time that saves.

Is Outplayed's free trial different?

Outplayed advertises a 7 day free trial of its Platinum membership and a 14 day money-back guarantee. I couldn't confirm from its public pages whether it asks for card details at sign-up. See the comparison.
